If a farmer divides all the mangoes he has into rows of 3,5,7,9 he finds there isstil one left but when he divides it into rows of 11 he finds none is left. what is thetotal no of mangoes

Answer will be 946.Approach- 3*5*7*9= 945hence for 946 mangoes there is always 1 mango is left for rows of 3,5,7 & 9.And 946/11=86. Hence no mango will left for row of 11.

take lcm of 4,6,8,10 ==>120(becoz remainder is 1 in each case)

120+1=121 which is dividible by 11

so mangoes are 121

lcm of 3,5,7,9 is 945...if we divide 946 it will have remainder 1 but if we divide by 11 no remainder....
