Hi All,

I guess the answer to this question can be situational:

1.If you are relocating to a new place:My family is shifting to this place and I've been away from my family for a long time and I want to be associated with them since they need me at this time.

2.If a new Job with in the same city and has the same domain to work and you hold good experience with your current employer:

A lil lengthy,please spruce it by u'r self.The idea would be....

Say that you got the opprotunity to work on this domain as a member of the pilot bathc with u'r current employer and you have been a potential resource and have explored a lot on this/gained good experience and exposure and have built u'r subject matter expertise and you wanna learn some thing new/confront new challanges and implement/utilize the knowledge u've built so far in some thing knew adding value to it where you can see your visability of your potential.This new job has come as a great opportunity in your way and you would not just contribute to this role/co. but also learn a lot from the excellent team you would be associated with.

3.Say a better opportunity where you have a platform to perform well/add value and learn more and grow with the co.

In the interview don't degrade your current employer for giving a reason for quitting your co.Remember to project that you have been with winners and this would elevate your image.Talk good about your co... this shows u'r professionalism/healthy relation ship with u'r co./potential and respected resource.

Friends I'm new to this site and this is my 1st association with an HR forum.Please let me know your opinion on the above points shared with you.I'm sure this forum would make me use my grey cells and improve my analytical skills.

Hi Friends,

You can also add to the 1st point(relocation) that need to relocate is the reason you are looking for a change,but this wudn't fetch you a job.You need to uplift the new job's profile and your profile matching with their requirement and convincing them that you would be a good fit to the profile.

                   This is excellent answer ...But as per your second point many times Hr not satisfy with the answer ...so how to give more descriptive answer to them...can we add that for money gain we are chaning the company ...or for seeking onsite opprotunity ...if yes then how to explian them

i leave my previous work at Insurance coz from time to time i feel that i dislike my job, the reason is that lack of office supply, few staff, and our boss is changeable mind, shes not a good planner...she doesnt know how to manage her employees...I think that job is not my line-up to become one of successful...and I'm so blessed that God give me an oppornity to work at Unilever as office staff...

Dude dat's not a bad answer at all... Ur idea of not telling anything bad about the previous employer was great.. What would you answer if they ask you y do u want to join the current comp(X)? Some common points??

Hi Hima,
The answer to your question-
"Why do you want to join the current company, could be"-
1.Incase its a big MNC: Do some ground work on the statistics of the company's growth, revenue, profits-when you give the interviewer these figures-chances to impress and prove your due dilligence in terms of your groundwork on co's profile go high; gives a pic of how organized, planned a person you are and would also project your interset in that co.

2.Talk about the company's work culture/environment (i assume that definelty this matters to you when you join a co.)- say that you like the work enviroment in this co.; have known thru acquaintances of yours and say that such a professional and liberal work env. would be a place of your choice, which wud definelty strengthen your productivity and give you mental peace.

Can also say that the co. has recognition for talent and its rewarded rightly/gives good opportunity to develop ur selves thru its amazing training and dev. programs and you would luv to be recognized for your talent and be develop your skills

This talks about your values, your quality and your professionalism. Hope this helps!

Hi Vivek,
Well...if it's an onsite opportunity - then you can openly defend your interest saying you are looking for an onsite opportunity, and thats why this change.

It sounds a little greedy and disloyal if you say you are moving for a "monetary gain" - "though most of us do". but few facts are "BETTER NOT SAID".

You can put it in a refined way saying the role is interesting, company has better opportunities to learn and grow which you have always looked for and also pays you good. (also the work culture if its good)

If you are working in Gurgaon and you want to change your current job.
Just say that I am wanting to leave my current company because In which process,
I am working there, that is about to move out from the company.
I have 4 years experience of backoffice that is why I do not want to shift in
voice process which they have. I think I can get better platform from your
company and prove my ability here.
I have good knowledge of backend process which I will be able to put in my work
here.
