Object Spy:If you need to know the Properties of Field or an object(Edit Box) in your application you may click on Object Spy and select the object for which the properties are to be known...We generally use Object Spy in order to compare the properties of an object in the application with respect to the Test script.

Object Identification:Object identification is a section where you customise all your properties by which QTP checks for the Mandatory and Assistive Properties of an object.

Object spy:Using Object Spy you can view the properties of any GUI object on your desktop

Object Identification : comes to picture when qtp fails to recognize object uniquely using the recorded properties
