How to proccied with an application after it is given to the tester to test with winrunner and wht we have to do and how to start our work with it and which one is to be open first, winrunner or the application

hi
   u can open either the appln or d winrunner that doesn't matter..
   after opening the particular appln read the objects that u want to check(For Eg: UserName Textbox, Password Textbox etc.. ) using the gui map editor LEARN ption... then u record the test & run it..
