 hi  first u have to ask for the BDD or BRS.

then you have review throughly the BDD or BRS

and if they provide u the UCD (use case document)  u have to rerview it properly by this u will get the clear understanding of  that project. after that if u got any doubt regarding those documents u have to send ur doubts through review report document to BUSINEES ANALYST. why coz he is the person who collects the infor regarding project from the client.  after that   start writing test  cases in the test case document .. finally  u have to send these documents  through  intranet to the concerned person. ok all the best...

First of all you must go through from BRD's OR Used case which help you to understand the functionality of the application because if the functionality is not clear to you then you will not be able to test effectively.

hi in that case first u go through the requirement and use case analysis

identifiy the gaps between requirement and usecase analysis

develop testplan testcase testscripts

develop tracebility matrix between requirement and testcase to ensure adequate test coverage.

excute testcripts and coduct integration ,sstem,functional,gui performance testing

identify defects found and report them to developers

once we get fix conduct regression testing and close the defect if it get fixed

conduct smoke test when ever we get a new build or version

maintian test logs and test summary reports.
