Limitations:
1. To access a report in Excel format on a remote server, you must change the hostname portion of the gateway URI from localhost to either the IP address of the computer or the computer name.
2. Cognos 8 does not support drill-through for reports in Excel format.
3. Cognos 8 does not support map reports in Excel format.

Whatever BO and other BI tools offer, Cognos 8 can't offer you.
-You will need to learn Cognos 8 to use it if you are coming from BO and other BI tool.
