Frankly it would make more sense to explore newer and latest avenues in agriculture research field. Basic C++ and java programming knowledge is good but it certainly wont fetch ready job in software testing field. You may have to undergo training in a leading testing training center. You may have to manage for 6 month with learning testing concepts and build your skills. In your case, though the prospect in testing field seems tempting and picturesque, make sure you have a solid backup plan before committing yourself.RegardsJimmy
