I have a Masters in IIT and I have an Industry Experience of 1Year 8 Months in Performance Testing. Now, I would like to shift towards S/W Development in C and/or C++.Could anyone please help me in this regard? What are the immediate steps to be taken? Will any company first of all allow for such a profile for Development?

Hello Mr Kondalarao Your major plus point is Masters in IIT, While you have a good chance in getting into development,make sure you start sharping your C and/or C++ skills. Since you are experienced, your interview will be more grueling. Some of the steps you can take are start going through interview questions for experienced candidates of various companies. Lots of such previously asked interview questions are readly available on net. Get through with your programming skills in C and/or C++. If you really want to switch to development remember, you can afford to go wrong. You need to prove you are capable of getting into development from testing.PS : Just dont quit your exisiting job untill you get into development in a good company.
