In SAP HR wht is the difference between Delete and Delimit??

Delete: u delete or erase all data and in this history can not be maintained.

Delimit: History can be maintained as per the infotype

delete: deleting all the records permanently, which also deletes the corresponding records which are stored in other tables,Delimit: Delemiting records is also called as making records hide, means which is not visible and it should be maintained in tables.

Delete: it deletes all previous data for a particular Employee.

Delimit: Its mean to use Ending Date of an activity performed on Employee data. e.g. If a employee is promoted from Assistant manager to manager, then we Delimit the Assistant manager data by adding the Date on which he promoted.
By doing so, we can also see previous data of that particular Employee. In case of Delete it can't happen.
