What is Redirection?

There are 3 types of Redirection.

1)Input Redirection
2)Output Redirection and
3)Error Redirection

Instead of directing the input/output/error from/to the standard devices, we can direct them to/from a file

syntax indirection : command < filename
output re-direction : command > filename
Error re-direction : command 2>filename
or command

A,lso,double redirection that is ' >>' means appendcat file >>file2 appends file2 with file contents

a redirector is the client-side object that forwards I/O requests to remote files,where they are satisfied by a server..they usually run in kernel mode
