Programming. I have done complete programming only, absolutely no recording.

Test scripts can be created by both recording & programming. In programming : We manually write the scriptsIn Recording: Once you record an object the coressponding script will be shown.

What is parameterizing?
In order for WinRunner to use data to drive the test, you must link the data to the test script which it drives. This is called parameterizing your test. The data is stored in a data table.

In order for winrunner to use data to drive the test, replace fixed values in the check point statement and in recorded statement with parameters and creating a data table containing values for parameters. This is known as parameterizing the test.

We use the term "Object Repository" in QTP. It is the same as GUI Map Editor in WR.During QTP recording, it learns all the objects that we are operating, and saves the objects in Object Repository much the same in WR.

wait - simply waits the specified number of seconds. It is not milli seconds.Ex. wait(10);When WR executes this statement, it simply sleeps 10 seconds, and executes the next statement after 10 sec.Here the point is, WR waits the specified number of seconds, not milli seconds.

Winrunner won`t support the .Net applcations . You can use QTP for testing the .Net application.
