Can we have same logical name for more than one object in GUI map file?

yes, some times we have same logical name for more then one object, at that time we can use Msw-ID to differentiate the objects.

yes some times gui map file contains same logical name for more then one object(ex if there 2 ok buttons in the screen) During recording the test it wouldn't create any problems but at the time of running the test the first objects will be operated twice. so u need to configure the gui map file by adding mswid as a optional property in order to identify both the objects

we can have the same logical name for the objects.

In this case we can identify the objects by using

1.  Obligatory Property; Properties learned by win runner.

2. Regularity properties: user definer properites to identify objects.

3. Indexing: By giving index to obj when in the same position(x,y) with same name.

4. Selector: by (x,y) position identify the objects.

No we cannot have the same logical name for the GUI File but we can have the same logical name for different GUI File
