I am working on Window Application form , i need to check the sequence of mandatory fields, like if there are two mandatory fields on the form then if i leave first field empty and click on save button then it should show the message for first field not for second one

Winruuner doesnot support xml. better use qtp to test xml objects

We can use data driven testing to check different transaction as a whole and induvidually we can use it to check amount and name and transaction fields.

An Excel sheet contains 10 urls. The winrunner should take the urls from that excel sheet, they should be opened and checked whether the homepages are opening or not. I needed the processor how we do this. expecting a quick response from you.

Yes I have created test scripts. It contains the statement in Mercury Interactive’s Test Script Language (TSL). These statements appear as a test script in a test window. You can then enhance your recorded test script, either by typing in additional TSL functions and programming elements or by using WinRunner’s visual programming tool, the Function Generator.

Yes. The test script is written in TSL (test script language) and it contains all the information that we have recorded using the winrunner tool. Information = what all are the objects that are been recorded, what all the actions performed by the winrunner etc.

Yes i have created test scripts using programming method not by recording. It contains the TSL statements, TSL statements can be generated using function generator.

I have a application in which I am selecting browse button to add file from local drive. On click of browse button it opens select file dialog. I am unable to capture the browse dialog along with all the objects like file select ,OK, cancel button. Can anybody help how to handle such situation in Winrunner.

Winrunner recognize object through GUI ,GUI is the Interpriter bitween User Application and WinRunner,It Recognize Object through script  in logical name of object and physical discription.
