We can export from testdirector to excell sheet....Click on 'Test case' ->Right click->save as ...But export only one at a time......Even though if the testcase has steps it simply export all the steps

But you can not export the test steps with this scenario.How can I export the test cases including the teststeps.

Common mode can be used by any one.To use private mode special permissions are required.In Common mode options like test design,test execution, defect reporting options are available.In Private mode options like Create test plan are available.

Click on 'Test Plan' tab,
Select the Folder where you want to add the Test case,
Right click on it,
on the popup window Click on 'New Test' button,
then it will pormpts for the test name,
after entering the name click OK button,
the created test will be added to the selected folder.

There is no certain procedure to Associate Same defect to different test cases, you could Give the comments in the failed test case, stating that the test case failed due to the Defect ID.

They're both the same thing only with a different name. Before version 8, it was called TD but now it's called Quality Center and no longer TD so what you think is TD 9 is really Mercury Quality Center 9.0

By doing the above procedure you can only pull out the test cases in the Test Lab tab that have not been run. If we have not pulled a test case from Test Plan tab into Test Lab then we cannot find out which test cases have not been pulled.

In8.2 there is no option for adding the two repositoriesin 9.0 is there that option( in 8.2 is using different tool QTPlus for adding)in 9.0 for saving the qtp script directly u can store QC, in 8.2 directlty we cannot save.ThanksSrinivasulu.chittoor

We need to define them during the testplan creation by creating sub folders from the main folder like security under that login issues.
