Please see whether Java built-in application is added to QTP.  As you have Active-X,Web built-in application similarly there should be a Java built-in application otherwise any Java based application will not run.

Hi,If QTP is not recording the select statement, you yourself see whatever functions are present for that combo, which can select the items and add them in your script, I am sure there will be lots of them available if you spy on that object..Thanks and Regards,Kaivalya

We can make function libraries by wirting VB script functions in the ".vbs" file. We can reuse this vbs functions in the QTP by adding this file in the settings.

Insert the checkpoint and right click on the checkpoint statemnt and then select checkpoint properties option,checkpoint properties dialog box will be opended. Select the property which u want to parameterize and check the parameter radiobutton.Click on parameter options button and select relevant options and enter the parameter name and click on ok. Finally click on ok button.

To parametrize a check point we need to insert and click on checkpoint and select properties option and parametrize the property which is required ,Click on parameter options button and select relevant options and enter the parameter name and click on ok. Finally click on ok button.

Generally you can insert the check point for a particular object to check it's status, So check point links will be enabled only after script is generated for that object. But Database checkpoint will be allways enabled.
