How to analyse online monitors?

Based on the vuser monitor what is the trans resp time at a point like 2000 vusers what is the throughput for the same(2000), what abt the network delay etc by using merge graph. we can compare the graphs in Y-axis.

Hiyou can analyse the online Monitors in Controller while running the scenario and after completing the scenario running u can analyse the results in the Analysis component.Venkat

I need to validate the performance of ODBC application which uses RMI and CORBA interfaces. I was using the RMI- Java Protocol or Corba Protocol (there is no option in LR to select both the protocol at a time). But, while recording, the scripts are not getting generated.Can any body assist in this issue.with regardsSai

I'm planning to use QTP scripts in LoadRunner. I have 2 doubts.Do I have to install the client application on the machines where I'm planning to use it for load test? so that it helps during the play back of the QTP scripts? for example :Assume I'm using one machine and I'm planning to run 1 vuser. I would install the client application on that machine. When we are executing through controller we can see the application being played back(which is the usual way of executing QTP scripts). If I need to run for 100 Vusers then do I need to have 100 machines with the client application installed on each of them to run for 100 Vusers?Let me know ur thoughts. Thanks

Load runner is used to load test the application or system by simulating the real users with virtual users. i.e Load generators will create the load by running virtual users.So u dont need to have 100...

If you want to simulate 1000Real Vusers... You need 1000Virtual Vusers....1VUser = 1 Real UserAt any point 1Vuser can't simulate multiple sessions...Instead

Ramp up and ramp down features in the controller allow scaling of users up and down at the start and end of test.Ramp up can also be used to determine the break point of an application.

Ramp up - This is not a mandatory step as such. But this is followed as best practice. This will tell how you want to increase the load on the server. This will also help to check threshold point.Ramp down - reverse of above.

Load gen name it stands for IP address or sys name we have to mention there.
To connect the generator.
Whether it is remote or local host you want to generate the script.
