What is the level of system loading expected to occur during specific business scenario?

It depends on the application at hand, the network, number of users involved, the database etc. I doubt if I have a generic answer for telling you the amoung of load that would be expected during a specific business scenario.

No. LR can be installed on a different machine, if that is what you wanted to know.The LR Agent provides the necessary interface between the Controller and the Load Generator.

I have an application under test which is of 3-tier architecture, it has a web server, app server, database server, basically loadrunner monitors the load on the webserver when a script is run on the controller. how to make it monitor the load on the app server or on the database server?

Hits/second are the number of HTTP requests made by VUsers to the Web Server in a scenario or session step run on a per second basis.Requests/second are the number of requests completed during each second of scenario run.
