Interviewer I think you are wrong because you have mentioned when X=Y then it is adding like: X+Y-1. But in case of 1+1=2 it is not adding like X+Y-1, rather it is adding as X+Y. So, ans should be : Except 1+1=2 in all other case it is adding like X+Y-1.

There is no tool to calculate the estimates, it can be give depends on exp only or else by doing some metrics we can do it.
And Microsoft Project Plan is not for calculating the time, it's just for scheduling the tasks once estimations were given.

Simple..One set of test cases may pertain to core/main functionality or feature of an application that has priority over rest of its features/functionality. Therefore that particular test suite (group of test cases) may become more important than the rest! -

You report your findings to all internal project stakeholders - BA/ PM etc. You will not get involved with the client directly as there will be internal projects stake holders stationed to speak to the client.

Static testing is review the document before writing test cases. So if any functionality is not clear than document that in the defect report. Because earlier the defect is find out it is less costly.
