It's one type of functionality which you can't achieve in configuration... There are several events and methods in Siebel. So this is important events,,*PreSetFieled*Activatefield*WriteRecord*SetFieldValue.etc....

There two types of extension table1:1 Extension Table and 1:M Extension Table..In case of 1:M extension table there three main columns presnt TYPE,PAR_ROW_ID,NAME.For eg: Consider Contact and Hobbies....

How can we configure a static picklist so that in front end it show different value but while storing in back end it store with different value? Please mention the pick mapping for the answer?

For this you need to do the pick map...Try like this.... go to svfield select the svf pick map and give the properties like this and tryField?- single value fieldPicklist field? - Name or type or description or idName - for Lic valueDescription - to store the description

When you define the picklist in view  "Administration - Data -> List of values", select the field "Translate" for picklist and for all the values of the picklist. After this change you must clear picklist cache and possible also restart Siebel service.

I.e. through ifb is it possible create user defined error message like this process is failed due to user key violation, etc...

I dont think its possible to create warning message from ifb file.But the logs can be checked for error provided the appropriate parameters are given while running the ifb file.

Raju,Link is not mandatory to display 2 applets, link is only to display the contact records respect to Account (top applet's record). You can just drag and drop any sort of applets which are belongs to one BO.ThanksLaksh
