INSERT - Add a new record in database table.
MODIFY - If record is available it modifies otherwise it wont modify.
UPDATE - If record is available its update the record otherwise it creates a new record.

Modiy is used to edit and change the existing record. In case of database table, if the record exist then it will try to modiy otherwise it will inser new record.Insert is used to insert a record in the tabel in a speicified place.Update is used to change the existing record.

Using set pf-status we can very well create the function keys like 'backspace' You can create and use your functionality of that buttons.? regards,mahesh.

Before going to the transaction code se37 first you  have to create function group in tcode se80 .in se37 you have to call that function group then only you can create function module.

Report dont need any event to execute the output.if we we put start-of-selection there is no compulsory to use end-of-selection. End-of-selection is used when we want to execute some output even when some exception occurs to skip start-of-selection.

There is no mandatory event in the report program.
however, if we don't explicitly write any event, system implicitly starts with start of selection event.In case of database selection, it is a good practice of use end-of-selection event.

Continue leaves the current loop if the condition does not satisfy and the loop starts again..whereas in a check first the condition is checked then the loop executes.

Internal table with header line is nothing but work area name as well as internal table name is same, whereas internal table without header line is nothing but work area name as well as internal table name is different.

FOR INTERNAL TABLE WITH HEADER we need not create work area. But not advisable because the user may get confused what is work area and what is internal table since they both will be having same names....
