 Hi sunitha,         The difference between oracle 8 and oracle 8i is that 8i supports for Internet related technologies..that is it supports for XML this feature is supplied in oracle 8i by a package named DBMS_XMLGEN .

When you try to execute procedure from procedure just  write procedure name. If you  are executing from SQL*Plus them write EXEC Thanks, Shailu

Executing a Procedure:exec To View a Procedure:desc -- gives u only the in/out parameters used by procedure.Select text from user_source where name = ' -- gives u the whole procedure contents.

before creating tablespace of non- standard blocksizeensure that buffer cache is configured for that balocksize by using this parameter db_nk_cache_size (where n is non standard blocksize)

1)Database can be opened without tempfiles in the temporary tablespace.2) Tempfiles can't be renamed.3)Tempfiles doesn't need recovery.4)Segments in temporary tablespace are dropped when no longer required.

when u create pfile from spfile then u can give ur perticular location according to u like create pfile = 'ur specified location' from spfile ;

This command does not change the location and path of the pfile. It changes only contents of pfile. Contents of Pfile are replaced by the contents of Spfile(in readable format).
