You have a very large query say of 2000 lines. How would you check if the indexes are being used or not. Would you read all the lines of explain plan in plan table to get it? If yes, will it be feasible? Do you have any other method of checking this?

UNDO tablespace contain the old information. it is circular process. it will overwrite the first extents. so if you need the overwritten statement that time it will show as snap_shot is to old.

I am now using an Access program that was created years ago and I used it 5 yrs ago and am now back - and when I attempt to go from 1 record to another with the arrows at the bottom - it use to scan very quickly and now I have to click on the arrow each time to make it go from one record to another. About performance, it depends upon the computations you will be performing inside that function. Also, if we are using (user-defined) function in SQL (rather than creating PL/SQL), then it will give better performance.

While using user-defined functions, we need to avoid Mutating functions error.

There will not be any impact on the output even if we will insert (and commit) the data after cursor is opened. The output will be same as of the record set when cursor was opened and new row will not be selected in that operations.
