If we configuration ip we need to add the host names in three files/etc/hosts/etc/nodename/etc/hostname.ce0 (network interfacename)

We cannot retrieve the data from crash. but we can analyze what made server or workstation crash provided the crash dumps should be enabled. we can send it oracle for review.Data can be retrieved if there is backup enabled

Hi,The /etc/shadow file contains following fields.Login-id : Which indicates the username of that perticular user.Passwd : It Contains encrypted password.Lastchg : Indicates the number of days between 1-JAN-1970 and last passwd modification date.Min : Contains minimum no of days required between password changes.Max : Contains the maximum no of days the password is valid before the user's propted to enter a passwd at login.Warn : Contains the number of days the user is warn before the password expires.Inactive : Contains the number of inactive days allowed for that user before the user's account is locked.Expire : contains the date when the user account expires once exceeded. The user can no longer log in also it will display the message "Your password has been expired".

First of all we have to create the file that is /etc/opasswd file that is duplicate of /etc/passwd file, whenever the /etc/passwd file is corrupted we can use the /etc/opasswd file and copy the contents of /etc/opasswd to /etc/passwd and we can use it.
