I think you can try this also:In OBP type the command "boot -ar". This will do the step by step configuration. If any system related file missed in /etc it creates automatically. Try this and reply me. Thanks

This will not cause a problem. The /dev directory will exist in the root file system. Most if not all systems I have seen do not have a /dev filesystem.

The df-k command to display the amount of disk space used for file system in Kbytes format. It fetches the information from /etc/mnttab.
