The passing of the control from the child to the parent is called as bubbling. Controls like DataGrid, Datalist, Repeater, etc can have child controls like Listbox, etc inside them. An event generated is passed on to the parent as an ItemCommand.

Server.transfer is used like post method, In this one cannot see full address between pages. So, this is more secured.

In ADO.net for Command Object you have 3 methods
1.ExecuteReader - Select statements
2.ExecuteNonQuery - DML statements(Insert,Update and Delete) - Returns Number of rows affected
3.ExecuteScalar - Returns a single value from Aggregate functions like SUM,AVG,COUNT etc

it is something like if we had not defined the web.config the application will take the settings from the machine.config.

the machine.config settings are overide by the web.config if u define the web.config for each running appln
