Create virtual? directory of your website. Than access that website directly from IIS, using? localhost. This is what we do when we delpoy the application on client end when the client has no VStudio installed.

This is the error which is caused frequently by most of them.Reason for this error is when ever you create a virtual directory of your solution see that web.config is also included.If your project is in IIS and web.config is not in IIS you get this error.
