The simple reason to this is DML operations can be done on a single table ,AND AS YOUR VIEW IS DERIVED FROM MORE THAN ONE TABLE ,SO IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO DELETE.

Not necessarily the same. Some installations do not allow HEWL as well as they do IEWL. With the same Parms passed, Ive had IEWL give me good results, whereas HEWL failed with the message "A valid entry point could not be found"

The Best way of retrieving a record from a VSAM file is performing a KEY READ on the VSAM File. Using the primary key of the record to be located, the record which is required is read directly and the process of Retrieval is faster.

The Space parameter is defined in the following way in a JCL.SPACE=(CYL,(Primary Space,Secondary Space),RLSE)Note :  The Option RLSE means Release. Even though this option is not mandatory, this option is widely used to release the unused Memory.
