I feel that Dirty Dimension is nothing but Junk Dimensions. Core Dimensions are dedicated for a fact table or Datamart. Conformed Dimensions are used across fact tables or Datamarts. Core Dimension is a Dimension table which is used dedicated for single fact table or Datamart. Conform Dimension is a Dimension table which is used across fact tables or Datamarts.

In Business Objects unvierse creation we do have two types of Hierarchies Custom and Default Hierarchies. Default hierarchies are by default all objects in a given class. For example Time Dimension. By default you can define Time Dimension Year, Quarter, Month and Day.
