Unable to start Informatica Repository Service in Windows 2003
I am unable to start my Informatica Repository Service, Even if I start the service, it stops immediately.i have windows server 2003 OSPlease, any one have a solution to this problem

I have installed Informatica 7.1.1 and Oracle.But the Informatica server service starts momentarily and then stops.I have uninstalled and installed Informatica twice and removed from the registry as well, but the problem persists.Does any body have the solution for this

It is because of your Repository user is locked/(database not open). Go to oracle database Repository user try to login to repository, then unlock it. It works fine.

1. Provide sorted input into the aggregator. Do check the sorted input property in the aggregator.2. Reduce the input/output ports in the aggregator.3.Can try increasing the cache size.

if supported by the database bulk load can do the loading faster than normal load.(incremental load concept is differnt dont merge with bulk load, mormal load)

It's totally depends upon the requirement. generally bulk load is faster caz it won't write the data to database logs so we can't do session recovery where as in normal load it is very slow comparing to bulk but the advantage is we can do session recovery..

Hi all, recently i was asked by the interviewer like,in the concept of mapping parameters and variables, the variable value will be saved to the repository after the completion of the session and the next time when u run the session, the server takes the saved variable value in the repository and starts assigning the next value of the saved value. for example i ran a session and in the end it stored a value of 50 to the repository.next time when i run the session, it should start with the value of 70. not with the value of 51.how to do this. if any one knows how to do this pls. reply.thankskumar

You can use output port and say CUME(1).. this will automatically generate the sequence or use Variable port
