There is a parameter called RTLogging and ORLogging in DSParams file for every project.The default value is :RTLogging=1ORLogging=0 If you change the value to following in DSParams file:RTLogging =0 ORLogging=1 then the log will not appear in Datastage Director.

Datastage is platform independent.A same job,when designed properly can run on SMP as well as MPP systems.Partitioning does not need to be changed for SMP/MPP systems.

ODBC stages are slower as compared to Plugin stages.ODBC stages can handle many databases whereas plugin stages are made specially for a particular database for example Oracle enterprize stage.
