No need to change the universe, create some report level variables like:Year =Year([Date]), Month =Month([Date]), DayNumber([Date]) etc, but if you want to only show them differently just change the dateformat of the cell.

@Variable function can be used in BO designer, this function can be used in the SELECT clause of objects for display to the user or in the WHERE clause to restrict data. @variable(BOUSER) returns the infoview user, you can implement row-level restriction using this function.

Conditions are put at query level so it restricts load of data to be fetched from database, on the other hand filter is applied on the data fetched from database that means it restricts the view of data.

Yes we can view the sql uery in report level.once you run the query by selecting objects and filters in web intelligence.go to --->edit query--->isql.you can view the sql query.before running the query also you may directly view sql query by selecting isql buttonat top of the report panel.

I didn't get you completely but you can test your report SQL against expected SQL on database, run them individually, that will be proper data testing. Other than follow the checklist for formatting and other check.

If you want to get the list of all the reports, it's not possible. In CMC you can view the list of the reports in a particular folder. You can copy them all and paste special in excel to get the list.

VBA scripts can be used to implement this but it will be a bit complex because you also need to make some changes in default settings of BO.

Scnario: Let you have a reporting period one object in a prompt, and one measure say 'Limit amt' another object you want to show in a report. Now once user enters the prompt, you want reporting period data prior to the entered value in the report along with which is entered in prompt.That means say reporting period is 2007, but you should show 2006 data also in the report. How do you implement it?

Hi Nisha,If you apply prompt on reporting period with condition "less than or equal to", you should get the desired data.
