Why condenser is needed in steam power plant?

    AMIT HAZARI

    • Oct 22nd, 2017

To decrease the temperature and comes to its original temperature before its inlet in turbine. If its temperature is not decreased its efficiency gets low, so finally condenser is used to increase the efficiency.

Thermodynamics is a process in which energy is transferred in the form of work and head in equilibrium condition.

Piston moves from top dead centre to bottom dead centre is known as a stroke its take half revolution of crank shaft. In a four stroke engine we get the energy on power stroke. Its complete two revolutions of crank shaft. The four strokes are suction, compression, power, exhaust.

although four stroke engine is more frequently used 2STROKE engine is more effiecient because for every 2 strokes there is a power stroke.for same power generation 2STROKE ENGINE is compact

2 stock engine is more efficient than 4 strock, because Power generation for 2 strock required one strock of compression and one strock of discahrge, while for the same power a 4 strock engine require...

4 stroke is more efficient due 2 its better milage, less wear & tear of parts, contain valves prevent frm leakage, deliver one power stroke in 4 cyle.

But in case of power, 2 stroke is better. it delivered 1 .8 times more power than 4 stroke.

Bt overall view favoured to 4 stroke engine.

Stress is restoring force developed in the body due to any tensile, compressive or any other force per unit area and on the other hand pressure is force applied on a body per unit area.

Brother as you said, but in some cases like in wall, eg. we are pressure applied on the wall it is also a scalar quantity.....so, how would we say pressure is only applied in case of fluid..

    KAMAL SHARMA

    • Jul 20th, 2017

    1. Pressure applied on fluid (Gas & Liquid) where as stress applied on solid.
    2. Pressure act perpendicular only where stress act perpendicular as well as inclined also.
    3. Pressure is only +ve magnitude but stress have both +ve and -ve.
    4. Pressure is external force and stress is internal force
