Career gap

I am having 6 years exp in software industry in oracle plsql d2k as a developer.My last designation is Senior Associate.I resigned my job in oct 2013 because of my marriage.Now I am carrying.already 6 months break in my carrier hereafter after child birth only i can search job.So It would be the gap abt 2 years.After this gap shall i proceed in my carrier life as before bcoz i want to work in IT industry as before.please suggest me the tips that i can use this gap and also how can i equip myself to re-join.
