It depends based on company and Designation of the person who is creating
Status Report We can start from bottom· If it’s a Tester then Daily or Weekly
Status Report will Send to Team Lead, Tester won’t Send any Status Report to
Developers Some Company has their own Daily Status Report

Example of a Weekly or Daily Status Report is like

Accomplish Tasks
- What all Testing you did that time
- How many test Cases executed or Created
- Then How many Defect Retested
- Etc

Pending Tasks
- What all Task Pending on that Week
· Now it’s Team Lead is the person Creating Defect Reports as well as Weekly
Status Report for the Team
· The Defect Report contains all the opened and reopened Defects and its will be
arranged based on the severity it will be Send to Project Manager as well as Dev
Lead
· Team Lead Weekly Status Report will club all team members Weekly Status and
will send to Project manager
· The Project Manager will Send Project Status Report to Higher Level Managers .

Status reports are the brief results of end to end testing cycle. These reports contain success, warning and alerts of the product, just to ensure that there are no show stoppers or blockers or hiccups in the product.
Where as it gives confidence to the developers and senior management.
