Line Wire

When we touch the line wire or supply wire we get shock. What is that? Is it voltage or current or something else?

It's because of the current flows through your body.
When there is a voltage differential between two point and there is a close loop circuit (your body act as conductor with high resistant), there will be a current flow.
The emount of current depend on the voltage value and the resistant Value (your body)... When you are hanging in the air, you wont get shock, as ther is no close loop circuit on it.

When you happen to touch the live part of the supply, then your body acts as a part of the circuit and of the Supply system is not grounded and if equivalent resistance of your body is less than that present in the circuit, then the current may flow through your body to the ground.. Very simple Principle is the cause for this "Current follows least resistance path"
