Connect the HDD of that system on another PC which is running condition and copy NTDLR file from the running system and paste the corrupted os HDD.
And then connect the HDD at his original PC and start it.

NTLDR is missing
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart.

This problem may occur if the basic input/output system (BIOS) on your computer is outdated, or if one or more of the following Windows boot files are missing or damaged:

Ntldr
Ntdetect.com
Boot.ini
To resolve this issue, verify that the BIOS on your computer is current, as appropriate to your situation,u can solve it by repair this folder in the first repair in Win XP if u know name of his folder ..if u dont know u can repair all files ...

If you get the prompt for NTLDR file missing. I think the best option is to repair your OS from a bootable CD.
Select the option to repair and it will copy the ntldr and other files (if any) to your root drive and make the system in working condition.

Insert CD in CD-Drive then boot system from CD
Copy ntldr file from CD and paste this file to C: drive corresponding folder and then restart this system

Step 1
Locate your windows xp/2000 install disk and place it in your CD/DVD ROM drive. If you do not have this disk then you cannot proceed any further.

Step 2
Restart your computer or turn it off then back on again.

Step 3
When the computer restarts press any key on your keyboard when you are prompted to "press any key to enter setup". Most computers are set up to boot to another device other than a hard drive and since the Windows XP/2000 install disk is bootable you should see the prompt. However, if you don't see the prompt you may need to change your boot priority in your bios.

Step 4
After you have pressed any key you will see the Windows XP/2000 setup screen. Once it is done loading press the R key to repair the windows installation. The screen will turn black and put you in a dos like mode with a bunch of text and a few options. The first question you should is it asking you which installation you would like to log into. For most of us we just press 1 and hit enter. If you have more than one hard drive or more than 1 partition this may be different. You will have to know which hard drive or partition your Windows operating system is installed to. It then asks you for a password and if you haven't set up one up you can just leave it blank and press enter.

Step 5
Once you see the words c:WINDOWS> and a blinking cursor type the following...

copy d:i386ntldr c:windows

D is the letter of your CD/DVD ROM drive so yours may be different, especially if you have more than one. Once this is done you can eject the CD from the drive and type EXIT to restart your computer. This will effectively copy the NTLDR file from the installation disk to your hard drive.
