I have had conflicts in the past so I think I should share with you.. Never major ones, but certainly there have been situations where there was a disagreement that needed to be resolved. I've found that when conflict occurs, it's because of a failure to see both sides of the situation. Therefore, I ask the other person to give me their perspective and at the same time ask that they allow me to fully explain my perspective. At that point, I would work with the person to find out if a compromise could be reached. If not, I would submit to their decision because they are my superior. In the end, you have to be willing to submit yourself to the directives of your superior, whether you're in full agreement or not.

You can try to handle any conflict by studying the problem thoroughly and analytically. Let me clear my point with a simple example.

Suppose you are a HR manager in a company. Your CEO wants a particular employee to be promoted in next session, but the main problem is that, the particular employee is not deserving the promotion and if he will get promoted then there will be the maximum chances of a strike by other deserving employes which will affect the company and your job, moreover it if will not fulfill the order of your boss(CEO),then you will loose your job.So as a HR manager, you should take care of both the sides...Now,the question is what will you do in that conflicting situation.

Solution:You should prepare a promotion list of some deserving employes including that particular employee and give an announcement, that you are also considering other employes for promotion in near future on the basis of their contribution to the company.

In this way you will be able to satisfy both the sides & overcome the conflicts.
