What is the difference between Switch and Hub ?

 The basic difference is HUB would broadcast all the ingress packets on all the ports where as the Switch will not as it has intelligence to build a MAC-PORT table.

In technically, HUB is used in the network (star) topology, the device dedicated point to point link only to controllre is called HUB.

SWITCH is used to switch the connection from one device to another.

Hubs go with broadcast whereas switch goes with multicast and unicast.
Switches have memory mac address table. hubs dont have memory.
Hubs use shared bandwidth, Switches use distributed bandwith.
Switches can be configured, password protected and many more whereas Hubs cannot.

while  switch is layer 2 device where collision not occur n it with regenerating d signal ,amplify it also dis is the basic difference b/w dem
