Routing Transformation

Hi, I am new to Informatica just trying to do some mappings. I tried to do SCD type 1. after loading source tables I used expression transformation to do some formatting and then I used Router Transformation. But when I tried to post all fields from expression to router they are by default becoming only input variables . I am unable to link these variables to an Update Strategy. What to do now??? Will anyone please help me.
Thank you
Uma

You should create a group in router transformation to get the output ports. Create a group and connet the output ports of that group to the next transformation.

In Router transformation first you want create a group, how can you create a group means, in expression transformation you will set a flag values, you just click the group tab in router transformation and then you give the name as you mentioned in expression transformation and then click ok. Now you can see the group is created in router transformation, and then there will be one more group its name is default group in that the reject records will be present. Now the output group will be also active and you can use it.

All the Above answers are wright, just create port in group and name it as update if you want to update, by default a port is created, now just map into corresponding router trans from update trans
