Once the material master record is created can we change the base unit of measure in basic data 1 tab ?

we can change the base unit only untill it will not use in any p.o. after using we have to delete this line item from the p.o. for changing the base unit.

Yes we can until any po is raised against the material code if still you want to change the UOM please cancel the raised PO or PR against the material code, still you want to change UOM u can use alternate UOM by accessing to basic data view additional data and give alternate UOM there and in purchasing tab give the needed UOM in order unit field.
