Job have 3 steps in 1) Step01 creating New GDG file(+), 2) Step02 Delete file(+), 3) Step03 create new GDG file with same file name What is the version for that file?

While creating we will give (+1) for step 1.

Deleting the same file in step 2 using (+1)

Creating another GDG(+2) because same file name.

After the execution of the job,step 1 is current generation we can refer with GDG(-1),

which get deleted in the step 2. So the version of that file is current generation GDG(0).

New GDG file with same file name version will be gdg(+2).
Reason:

As the creation step is included in the same job so the version for the file that is deleted will be gdg(+1) and new file created will be gdg(+2).
once the job execution is completed the generation for the new file created will become gdg(0)
