Bridge is sufficient. Token ring uses a 3-bit frame called as token, which circulates among the devices, and when a host needs to communicate to another, it holds the token, then passes the information. once the info is completely passed, the reciever end acknowledges. When the ack is received at the sender, it release the token, thus the communication happens.

Router is mandatory because the frame format of ethernet differ from token ring so frame need to be designed accordingly

True, but router is still not mandatory coz translation bridge can connect dissimilar network segments like ethernet-to-token ring.
