What are the benifits of Abinitio over Informatica?

Hi Pradeepa,I never worked on Informatica... but as per my knowledge concern the main difference between these two is In Ab initio you can do data parallelism, which ultimately helps to save ur time to load the data from source to target ...and another thing is if ur doing some file processing then that case I suggest go for Ab Initio it have excellent options to do but in informatica it might be more complex.. for data validation in Ab Initio is very easy as compared to Informatica BCZ Ab Intio have lot of system defined functions which will help to programmer for less volume of coding...one mor interasting feature of Ab Initio is read multifiles at a time... I think this type of features r not available in Infomatica.Regards,Mahendra
