V stands for Verification - during development and Validation during testing

Left side is Varification and Right side is Validation - both development process and testing process are mapped.

Adavntages with respect to other models (Fish model)are: it is a mapping between development stages and testing satges.

Hi,

    V-Model stands for Verification and Validation.

    In V-Model for every development stage there is  a testing stage.That means there is mapping between the Developement and the Testing.

   In the other models like water fall model and all there is only one phase of testing.After the developement only the testing phase will be started.

V model : Mapping of Verification with Validation is the main purpose of V model.Advanatge: Here in V model in every phase we do the testing but in other models testing starts after the devlopment stage only.
