What is the meaning of session?why do we create it?

Hi, Session consists of data that is transferred to SAP Format from flat file structure. Data's form session will be updated in table only if we run the session. TO run the session, look at SM35 TCODE

If data is transfered from file to session, can I delete file before running the seesion?

session is nothing but the transferring of data from flat file to the the r/3 system.here advantage is that you can call more than one transaction at one go.

Session is a technical name of SAP application window in GUI with which you communicate with the  SAP system. the interaction happens in three ways. SAP easy access screen, initial screen, output screen
