We have a large very thin sheet of rice paper which pile at the rate of 1 thousand sheets to the inch.Supposing we tear the paper in half an put the two pieces together on top of each other and we tear them in half and put the 4 pieces together in a pile and then we tear them again in half and put the eight pieces in a pile and we continue like this upto 50 times, can u tell how high the final stack of paper would be?

1/1000*2^50=5.02inches(approx)

(50*log(2))/3*log(10)=>(50*0.3010)/(3*1)

=>(15.05)/3 =>5.016 inches

total number of papers 1st cut 2, 2nd = 4, 3rd = 8, 4th = 16, 50th = 2 ^ 50

Thick ness of sheets all togather = (2 ^ 50)/1000

let x = (2 ^ 50)/1000

Log x = log {(2^50)/1000) = Log 2^50 - Log 1000 = 50Log 2 - 3  =

= 50 x 0.3010 - 3

log x = 15.0515-3 = 12.05144

x = Anti log of 12.05144

= 1125899907000

as the papers are stacked one above the other even after cutting.u'll ultimately u'll get one stack having 2^49 papers (=1->2->4->......50times is 2^49)so height is 2^49/1000 inches =5.6295*10^11inches

No piece of paper is possible to cut into halfs more than 8 times. You can try out with any paper of any size of any thickness so folding it 50 times and cutting into halves is not possible.

As its going to double everytime so sereies may be  2 4 8 16 ....like that 2 power 1 it 2 power2 like that after 50 answer might be 2 power 50

Since we already cut it once when we have 2 half it is actually 50 times - 1 so it is 2^49 = 562,949,953,421,310 + the two first 562,949,953,421,312 and since 1000 is one inch then is 562,949,953,421.312 inches that will be approximately 14,298,928.816901 km
