What is the use of function generator?

The Function Generator provides a quick, error-free way to program scripts.
You can:
i. Add Context Sensitive functions that perform operations on a GUI object or get information from the application being tested.
ii. Add Standard and Analog functions that perform non-Context Sensitive tasks such as synchronizing test execution or sending userdefined messages to a report.
iii. Add Customization functions that enable you to modify WinRunner to suit your testing environment.

Function Generator:It is the library of TSL functions.Some testers use this option to detect unknown TSL Statements.
The navigation is as follows:Go to create ----> Insert function ----> From Function Generator ----> Select Category ----> Select function name deoending on Description ----> Fill Arguments ----> Click paste.
In this manner the unknown TSL Functions can be generated through this navigation.

Quick and error free way to generate TSL functions. Only those functions of loaded add ins will be displayed in the function generator window.
