500 user means 500 licesences right if u have 500 licenses then

(500 x 8)MB(per process/user)+200MB(OS)+100MB(Other softwares)

then the total is 4000+200+100=4300MB

so the total harware required is 5GB.

If i'm wrong correct me.

I think this is the anwer u want right

500 users does not mean 500 licensses. Its only one license which will enable to put 500 Vusers on the sys.

per user 0.5 mb of ram is required from our practical exp....so for 500, 250mb should be reserved for LR virtual users....use 512mb box atleast or 1gb is prefereble

We cant say LoadRunner requires 0.5 MB RAM for each vuser. This could be been drawn on certain application. Basically it will depend upon the application and the business process being automated.

It could take 0.5 MB RAM per vuser for a business process, but it may vary for other BP. By the way, this matters only for desktop application where the client terminatal is same on which you run LoadRunner.

If that becomes a problem, make use of GENERATOR component of LoadRunner
