Bidirectional means you may conduct the testing either from the Client side or Server side.

bidirectinal testing is also called as sandiwitch testing which is type of integration testing. Have to test from top as well as bottom of the progarm simultaniously.

Bi-directional testing reduces the testing time. It testing all component they are not tested by Top down and Bottom up integration.
