   If i am travelling from new to wash, assume 5 hrs will take to reach wash, at the same time wash to new, every half hrs, the train com across....... so while reaching to new totally 9 train will cross.

If u r sitting in one train from new york to washington.. u can see 3 trains passing u from opposite side.

there are 4 train passess.let us assum that at 12 o clock both train are departure form station A and staion Band the toatal time taken is 5 hr so at 5 o clock the train reach in th dastination.1st train 12.00 o'clock2nd 1:303rd 34rth 4:30so till 5 oclock there r 4 trin passes from staion A.

if we assume the speed of the trains are equal then after 2.30 hrs the first train
will meet and after every 15 minute it will meet one train.So finally total 10 train it will meet.

The answer is 6. 3 trains would leave from the Washington during the total journey from New York and the train will also meet 3 trains that left at 4:30-3:00 and 1:30 hrs earlier from Washington.
